Try the following recipe:

Servings 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. (1 ½ cups) dark chocolate (60%), finely chopped
  • 1 ¾ cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 ½ tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup (2 oz.) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • chocolate shavings/cocoa powder/whipped topping, for garnish (if desired)

Instructions:

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy whipping cream over a medium-high heat until it starts to boil. Remove immediately and stir in the cocoa powder. Combine.
  • Apply the chopped chocolate, sugar, butter, salt, and vanilla; whisk until all the ingredients are well incorporated and you get a smooth, melted mixture.
  • Divide the mixture into 4-6 ramekins, serving glasses, or cups – filling ¾ of each ramekin. Cover with plastic (do not touch the surface of the mousse puddings). Place in the refrigerator to chill and thicken, at least 6-7 hours (ideally overnight).
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped topping, or simply sprinkle a few chocolate shavings or just dust with some cocoa powder (if you like).

Enjoy!
